Belial had been near pouting the whole time, much to her friend group's chagrin, as she had been the unlucky soul friend to fill the empty slot they had in their group for this concert or whatever they had ended up dragging her to.
It's not like she disliked whoever they were seeing, nor was it the atmosphere. It just wasn't her thing.
Nor was backstage, in fact it might've been worse than being out with the general crowd. The eager squeals of her friends were more concentrated despite how hard Belial tried to focus on the words on the screen of her phone.
Until the squeals turned into more hushed, quickened whispers as Belial found herself being slightly more crowded against the stack of travel cases she was basically trying to hide behind. So much for that attempt.
The man before her did look familiar, standing in front of her like he owned every bit of the space. Just like he owned every bit of the stage.
Belial pressed her phone against her chest, her nose wrinkling ever so slightly as she stared up at the man with faintly narrowed eyes.
"Do you invade everyone's personal space like this?" She asked surprisingly bluntly. Like being interrupted in the middle of her reading was akin to a cardinal sin.
