on one hand I have a scene in my head for my witch thing where one of the assassins is accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death by burning where they just refuse to cry in pain and instead spent their last breath cursing every single one of the witchhunters and templars and those who stood by and did nothing, they yell until the flames burn out their throat
but on the other hand I don’t want to kill off someone purely for this
I got ideas about the Ekizian sisters because sibling relations kill me
in short
'touch my sister and you die'
seriously they are FIERCELY protective of each other, and they love each other VERY much
of course Akhtamar is a lot like this chill big sister, letting Arevig do whatever she wants, but the second something seems wrong or she senses she's in danger she'll become like a fierce mother lion protecting her child. she knows Arevig is sometimes scared to decline something or say no in fear of hurting someone, and so she always looks out for her. she will always put herself between Arevig and the source of danger because Arevig will not get hurt if she can prevent it.
Arevig is also that protective, but in a different way. she is more direct, quick to ask if something is wrong instead of relying on bad vibes. when she is indeed worried about Akhtamar she'll ask a thousand times before thinking 'okay, it's gonna be fine'. she'll also easily step in harm's way if she wasn't so easily taken over by fear. she does her best, but often ends up in Akhtamar's arms, much to her own shame. she wants so hard to take over the role of protective sister, of the guardian, because she wants her sister to be able to rest. after everything what Akhtamar had done for them, the least she can do is return the favor, right?
no readmore im on my phone, sorry.
BUT witch/lady assassins
I keep imagining a certain scene that could work as a trailer and I’m still wondering why I think of things like that because it isn’t like it’s actually gonna be a thing
anyway
it is raining. a limp figure gets dragged out of a kart. their hair obscures their face, with a cold and faint wind dragging it with it. they are roughly pulled up to their feet, their hair thrown back to reveal a bruised and tired face of a young girl. she does not however look very scared, she looks on calmly as she is pushed forward to the gallows. step by step she gets closer and she looks around her to the crowd, as if looking for people. the crowd however looks in with disgust and fear. as she ascends the steps and pushed in her place, someone stwps forward to put the noose on her and as they tighten it someone is officially convicting her of witchcraft. they signal to hang her, and she looks up with a smile. the rain has calmed down a bit, but thunder and storm starts to take its place. as a lever is pulled to make her fall, lighting flashes and crows quork, and when she falls there is only a black limp figure fluttering in the wind.
Ughh I’m too tired to do the rest now I suck at writing (this isn’t even real writing) I’ll do my best next time when I’m not on my phone
The point is: young girl is to be hanged but gets out thanks to her fellow assassins in a very supernatural way (or theatrical if you want)
I'm a bit too hyped about this so I'm gonna ramble about witch assassins again
sooo the new one, Matryona, she's gonna be the one who was once accused of witchcraft and was almost burned at the stake. BUT due to mysterious circumstances (by which I mean I haven't figured it out yet) she survived the trial, and officially she is thought to be dead.
now Matryona isn't as young as the others, she's already gone grey and all, but she's still pretty athletic for her age. she doesn't really look like a sweet old lady, more like this cranky old russian lady you know (yep I made her Russian, but that's because she was inspired by Baba Yaga).
ok wait I figured it out
she has had contact with the assassins before, once or twice she had provided information etc, and during these times the assassins acknowledged her potential, thus when the time came that she was to be executed with a few other women, they made an attempt to save them. unfortunately only Matryona made it out, and this makes her join the brotherhood. it's because of this she finally decides to take a side, sacrificing her own safety.
also the den in the woods is also where Nazeeha trains the ravens and crows, so to make it even creepier, the witch's house is always surrounded by the black birds. let's not even begin about the wolves who also like to pay visits.
okay I'm a bit too eager to talk about the ac stuff and I'm sorry
I tag em all with ac stuff sooo if you don't want to see it you know what to do
I REALLY REALLY WANT TO DEVELOP MORE ABOUT LIUDA BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH HER
I seriously would LOVE to talk about all this with someone who also loves ac (only so the other one knows what I'm talking about ya know)
but Liuda is supposed to be this brave charismatic woman who's also pretty intimidating because of her size (she's pretty damn tall and muscled soooo)
but I'm also so afraid because knowing myself and my skill at writing etc she might not get developed good enough as a character
things I might know about her
idk
she comes from a big family
she mostly keeps her problems to herself, but not because she doesn't want to bother others, she just wants to deal with it herself. it's her business. and so her motto could be 'put yourself before everything else'. it's important to her to know her own worth.
even though she thinks your problems are your business, she can't help worrying about everyone. perhaps this is because her family damn well knows the risks of this profession. there's a sort of rebellious spirit which has been passed down to a lot of family members of hers, causing her to join the assassins, and so it has not been uncommon that some were killed or disappeared due to protesting etc
so she's scared. while she might appear the strong jolly woman, she's also quite worried of their fate.
after talking to a very awesome person I got a few more ideas for the ac witch thing!
I'm adding someone to the main cast, I haven't decided her name yet but I got ideas with her being the player character (sorry Arevig). But I think right it would mean I have two ideas in terms of players and stuff (maybe even character customization!!!) anyway
I'll call her Yaga for now, to make it a bit easier (get it, baba yaga, witches, hehehe)
Yaga was (most likely) once accused of witchcraft, but she managed to escape the burning. but, seeing innocent women burned at the stake, she decides to join the assassins and to put an end to this. but noone knows she is still alive, thus scaring her targets even more as they are haunted by a dead woman.
but another version might be like this: her mother (or perhaps her sister) was convicted and burned at the stake, screaming and cursing the judges. she swears on her life they she will haunt them and will not rest until they are dead. hearing these dreadful last words, Yaga vows to kill them in her name.
in both cases, she takes on the form of a vengeful ghost, which can be pretty damn cool.
but also something about the head quarters of the assassins! after remembering Baba Yaga and the tales my mother used to tell me (both scaring and fascinating me) I figured I should do something with that. so, the most important assassins den isn't located in a city or town, it is actually located quite far away from there in the middle of a forest. from the outside it looks like a little cabin, but thus stylized that it looks like it has chicken legs (think something like this) and it has been rumoured that it is actually a witch's house so noone dares to go there. most of the actual working space is located underground, the places where the recruits and sheltered sleep too. Nazeeha's main work station is here, because this is where they have the most privacy and don't have to be too afraid to get discovered. but the assassins keep this place as a back up, in case they need to be sure noone finds them or if they lose their place in the city.
and in the city, of course, they make a lot of use of the underground system of tunnels. lots of activities and meetings take place there so they might not be discovered as quick. besides that they have one place where Mozghan (so the mentor_ takes up residence, although it is disguised as another facility entirely (not sure what I'll see one time). this is where she takes care of most of the financial issues, and also secretly provides sanctuary for victims of the witch hunts.
now im just gonna try to give Yaga a decent name and appearance :)
ok ok I keep thinking about this idea for Assassin's Creed and I gotta get it out
(it's all very very rough I'm sorry)
sooooo basically
an ac game centered around witch hunts
the brotherhood taking in suspects and women accused of witchcraft and the like while they also disguise their actions as magic and miracles while leaving barely a trace as to what the heck just happened
I have no idea where exactly it would take place BUT I already came up with a few characters
a muslim woman (Nazeeha Rasheed) who invents all kinds of trinkets (think smoke bombs etc) while also training ravens and crows to carry around their messages and sometimes even help out to distract certain targets
a lithuanian woman (Liuda Mincenakos) who is basically the muscles of the gang (influenced by axe man, I couldn't help myself) she's the one who leads open attacks and ambushes
two armenian sisters (Akhtamar & Arevig Ekizian) of which the elder (Akhtamar) is mostly the spy who stalks the targets and takes them down personally, while the younger (Arevig) learns as much as possible about their targets and finds out ways to finish them while making sure it does not arouse too much suspision
and then the mentor of this sisterhood would be an iranian women (Mozghan Zaandia) who is also VERY skilled at making bonds with other factions and making sure they have enough money for their business, which is also mostly invested in the care for those they shelter there
the protagonist would be Arevig, and Akhtamar is basically a super chill sister who mentors her the best she can
Liuda has a huge crush on Arevig and is kinda open with it, while Arevig is a bit more shy but still very much interested in her
Akhtamar is also best buds with Liuda
meanwhile Nazeeha and Mozghan are basically the brains of the group and have a deeper relationship which they keep very secret/private
I have nooooooo idea how the templars come in, but it would be really cool if they weren't 100% evil etc.
perhaps the whole ordeal of separating the church and state would be a good main theme for this
it would so cool to talk about this with someone because I only dream up dumb scenes about it
