We are pleased to see you coming back to Hogwarts, Miss Jang Manwol. We hope teaching Potions is a pleasant one this year.

Once upon a time on 15th June 1971 a girl with black ebony hair and big dark brown eyes were born into a pureblood family. A family filled with riches & wealthy living in central london, the family who only care about climbing the social ladder and power not able anyone else. The girl was given two names one was her korean name which was Manwol then her english name Matlida. The girl was the last child to be born into the family before her mother was not able to bear no children, she was the last hope to the Jang’s family on gaining more social status, so her life consists of being stuck in the library being taught everything about the magical world. Manwol was a good student forever curious about everything especially the morbid things in this world. She had taste for the dark arts but also how dark the muggles were too. She became fantasise by the muggle world on how human hurt each other with weapons, not spells however her parents did not approve of her curiosity about the muggles making her black sheep among the family. The little witch would learn about them in secret while showing her skills in magical subjects to satisfy the parents need for good little witch.

Matilda gains a little taste for the finer things in life since she always surrounded by people with money and power. She likes rich ladies and handsome men but only to use and play with since in their social circle most of them did not have any depth. People would name her Manwol The Magpie since she always like shiny things, it was cute it didn’t bother her so much as she keeps her shiny items she won’t care. The little witch fell in love with music too even learnt how to play the guitar and piano to entertain the guests at fancy parties. It was the only muggle thing her parents approve so her learning since it amuses their clients and gain connections in this magical world. Due to the environment, she learnt how to be sweet as a kitten but be wary of her claws as she isn’t afraid to claw someone eyes out when she is threatened. Pure-blood elitism that what it was, they didn’t care about the outside world, they would drink and laugh while muggles would fight in wars. It would boil the witches blood watching how selfish other people could be but all she could do was stay quiet and watch the world go by.

Hogwarts was a safe haven for Manwol she was able to study peacefully do her own thing without no one questions her motives. The little witch thrived in the environment even became Slytherin’s prefect to keep this place in order as this was her home and she wanted to protect it. Some students were scared of her due to her fiery temper when people do not listen to what she said, thanks to always being ignored by her family as a child. Once people get to know the girl she is quite passionate and loving character under all the crazy behaviour. Among of the students who was scared by her unique nature, there was a boy who loved her craziness despite their first meeting she throws a book at him to get him to leave him alone yet he was persistent and handsome. Matilda had someone to give all her love to, rage as well even end up marrying him, his name is Junghwan. Bonus points, that her parents approved due to his family background but honestly she couldn’t care any less about what they thought about him.

Fast-forward to the current time, she’s become Hogwart’s professor since all her favourite memories were in this school so now she wants to be a good influence in students life even though she underestimated how frustrating students can be and tend to throw things at her students when they don’t pay attention to her lectures. For goodness sake, please listen to Ms Jang unless they wish to have toad foot thrown straight in their cheek….

DONGNAM SCHOOL NEWSPAPER, 05.01.17: New teacher Geum Nohmin has officially begun teaching Science B2! Nohmin has been reported to be discreet, loyal, and hard-working but also greedy, vulgar, and inconsiderate. His personality will take him far as the coach of boys’ and girls’ basketbal and the coach of track and field. Let’s welcome Nohmin to the school and wish him a good year!

Proficiency: Nohmin cares about his students but it’s not in a way that is so visible to everyone. He has little things he does to make the students realize this, and it’s each to their own. What makes him a good teacher is his understanding, his push, and the way he is always so willing to help a student out if they’re in need. It’s also helpful that, because he was once a smug, disobedient student, he is able to see things easier, catch students in the wrong, and often times he is able to fix some problems that other teachers may find a bit difficult to. He’s also fun to talk to on lunch duty.

Biography:

Min never had it hard and he never regrets it. Being born in the 9th of January in 1989, he was the only child his parents would ever conceive, leaving him to be a spoiled, unhealthy kid who got almost everything he wanted whenever he wanted it. It wasn’t like his parents felt bad for him - no, they just cherished him as their only child and son, wanting everything to be the best for him throughout his entire life. Min loves his parents too, there is never any doubt about it, although he would have to admit that he abused their deep love for him every single time he could.

Elementary school proved to be just so easy, the kids always wanted to be his friend and the teacher was so easy to convince and play that Min almost always got what he wanted. More time for naps? Done. More recess? Done. Less homework? Not a problem. It never helped that he went home to a family that would do anything and everything for him if it meant that he went to bed happy and woke up just the same. But as a kid he didn’t realize just how much he could use all of this for his advantage, and until he was 12, it was always “more sleep!” and “more recess!” because that was all a kid really wanted back in the day.

13 was always the year people acclaimed to be the start of your teenage years, and Min was in middle school. The concept of him getting what he wanted was becoming harder to grasp and he found himself doing worse and worse in classes as the third year of middle school progressed. But his parents were always there for him - they got him enrolled in special classes, ones that were for what everyone called the ‘stupid people’ and strived in those more than he could ever in the regular classes. But it never suited him - he wasn’t okay with being labeled as ‘dumb’ and ‘stupid’ by all the other students and that was why he had taken it upon himself to make high school the best four years of life.

It was a breeze - and for the worst reasons. Freshman year is always the year of the goodie two shoes; Min stayed in every night to finish his homework with all the right answers and stayed up too late studying for a test that was easier than he thought it was going to be. His parents were showering him with praise, giving him money and gifts and he felt like he wasn’t that stupid kid anymore. But sophomore year rolled around and Min found himself declining again, the classes being too hard despite all his efforts and that was when he had also hooked up with the wrong gang at school. They had opened a new light to him though - cheating. And Min decided this was the only way to keep his parents proud and graduate at the top of his class.

Progressing through high school, he worked as a waiter and used that money to buy his essays, buy his tests, buy the answers to anything he could and he would always drill the smarter kids for their answers whenever he could find the chance. Finally he felt like he was in charge, that sense of getting what he always wanted was filling him up and it was shaping him at the prime age of 16, causing him to be that messed up kid as he got older. He constantly wanted to be the better one and although he cheated for it, it seemed to pay off in the end. At least, that was until his junior year when he was finally caught for it.

A two week suspension and his parent’s disappointment finally pushed himself into shape. While he was still the greedy bastard all of the kids he hung around with knew he was, he decided that if he was going to get through school, he had to at least understand it for the most part and use his ability to get away with cheating as a side resource. It was from the day he was back in school and beyond that he had started to be way more discreet, only using his skill when he needed to (which became far less often as time went on) and he had finally found himself getting the grades he felt he deserved. While they were still fake straight A’s, they were less fake than before, and when he graduated, he took the science route, finding it far more interesting than everything else.

And in college, he was still the same, learning what he could and cheating for the rest. College was far worse than anything else though, as he had to find a way to separate personal life from school life. It was a challenge, by far the most challenging thing he had come across, but he managed to make it out of school his bachelor’s degree and grades that were 90% his work, 10% someone else’s. While he had been sitting on it for quite some time, it was only a few months after graduating that he figured out just what he wanted to do.

He was going to be a teacher, someone that he had been able to fool all his years of school.

He applied for two schools without looking much into them, Chungwa and Dongnam; and it turned out that he was accepted into the latter. But upon his first day of teaching, he realized just what he had gotten himself into - it was just a school full of idiots, people who cared more about their muscles than their education and he felt like he was back in his own high school years, hanging out with the stupid kids in order to become a fake smart one. Maybe this was payback and karma for all those years; Min didn’t know. The only thing he did know was that he was going to have a blast trying to teach all the kids that were practically him when he was younger.
