In Unity when your introduced to the Abstergo entertainment and there is a guy on the bottom who is in Jazz Age New Orleans? Nothing can ever change my mind about him. I am thoroughly convinced he is the descendant of Aveline de Grandpre and Connor Kenway.

Playing AC Liberation late one evening. Playing The Plot story when just as I come to three big thugs,my kids come by to kiss me goodnight. I must not have hit pause like I thought because next thing I know is I’m apparently kidnapped and tied up in a little room. It took me a while to figure out why I couldn’t move, then when I finally break out, I’m attacked by a bear! A bear!!! Right there in the middle of town!

Hint: arm yourself with a smoke bomb before heading out and that bear comes to a quick end. (For reasons I don’t know, my game wouldn’t let me continue playing for at least a full minute after this, but it comes around).

I’m still a bit salty for Liberation never getting a proper trailer, as the one it has is just bits of the game’s cutscenes and gameplay. I know it’s not a “proper” game such as ACIII, but it’s in the same place with Freedom Cry, which had a proper trailer (at least one that wasn’t just cut out of the game itself)! And yes, it’s “a video game in a video game”, which might be a cause for it having such a shitty trailer only showing the gameplay, but I don’t see why it couldn’t have had a better trailer. The trailer for Freedom Cry was simple, yes, but still better and not just bits of its gameplay. Liberation isn’t one of the greatest games in the franchise, but I liked it anyways, and totally think it should’ve gotten a proper trailer.

For the longest time, I did’t have the soundtracks for Liberation and Freedom Cry, both of which I don’t own. But at the same time, I had the music for other main games & DLCs I didn’t own, whose protagonists were non-black (not non-colored), e.g. the Ezio saga, AC3, Jack the Ripper. Only when it was pointed out did I notice. Ain’t subconsciousness racism great?

The Anvil line.
