Monthly practice:
1. Make a monthly review of study habits I find this really helps with understanding what’s working and what’s not
2. Invest in a good book A good book can nourish your mind and soul
3. Create a season based wardrobe capsule I got this idea from Lucy Moon, a favourite creator of mine, here’s her youtube channel essentially I try and have as minimal of a selection of clothes I could choose from each morning to avoid decision fatigue and focus on things that would put my time to better use while looking nice and feeling confident.
Weekly practice:
1. Room clean A clean room sets you up for a good workspace and less likely to lose things.
2. Practice an outlet whether it be music, drawing or sport, find a release. Focusing on just school will lead you to burnout
Daily Practice:
1. Assess why you’re stressed Especially if you have anxiety. Pin-pointing where your stress lies will help you both overcome this stress and resolve it by working on exactly what’s stressing you.
2. Practice mindfulness I don’t meditate. I practice mindfulness to draw me back to the moment so that I don’t get too caught up in everything that’s going on. I count 5 things that I hear, see and feel then I work my way down, counting 3 things i hear, see and feel, to 1.
3. Have a shower and prepare for bed 1 hour before you want to be asleep This means I can take my time and relax before bed and avoid screens to get great sleep.
4. Stick to simple, homemade full meals instead of snacks Fuelling your body is fuelling your brain. Honestly I function a lot better if I feed myself good, healthy meals. I understand the temptation to eat 80c noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner but your grades, your brain and your body will thank you for taking some extra time on your food.
