“HAVE YOU HEARD ANY OF THE BAR GOERS SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE CROWS?” With The Wolf’s Eye being a typical site for different supernatural creatures, and Thea being a bartender, it’s easy to overhear or eavesdrop.

It was a strange feeling, finally getting to live out her high school dream of going on a date with Sam Dryden. It wasn’t as though she’d harbored feelings for him this entire time, but seeing him again certainly triggered her crush all over again. And now that she knew Kevin had a girlfriend - no, scratch that, not just a girlfriend, but a girlfriend he was living with, a girlfriend he was building a life with - Tessa felt like she needed this date more than anything else. Sam was good looking, kind, fun - he was someone she could build her own future with. Someone she could get to know better. Someone she could see herself truly falling for. She only hoped he felt the same way.
But that’s what this date was all about, right? Sure, they’d kissed on New Year’s, but to know if they were truly compatible, they needed a real night together. A night to get to know one another as they were today, rather than holding onto their memories of one another from high school.
Seated across from Sam, Tessa wore an uncontrollable smile, her cheeks reddening out of embarrassment. She was well aware how she must have looked to him right now - full on psychotic - but she was grateful he hadn’t pointed it out and used it to tease her. “So, on average, how many times per month do you crave shrimp ‘n’ grits?” She joked, her eyes fluttering up from her menu to look at him as she spoke. “I honestly don’t think I’ve had it since I’ve moved back, so I have to admit, I’m pretty excited right now.”
