Our Job

Everyone who calls themselves a Christian have been given one job, and Christ is the one who gave it to us. He even went so far as to say that if we do not do this one job, we are not His followers. That one job is love. We are to love our fellow Christians. We are to love our enemies. We are to love our neighbors, which includes all those not mentioned above. No one is to be excluded from our love.

The trouble is: This is not how we are wired. We are wired for competition and self-preservation. We are always on the look out for perceived threats. Then, we either fight or run away. Loving is taking a chance of being hurt. It’s letting our guard down. It’s loving the way Jesus loves even if it costs us what it cost Him.

This means we are to love murderers, rapists, child molesters, and terrorists. We are to see them as made in His image, even though that image is marred, and maimed, weak and sick. We are to remember that Christ died for them as much as for us. We are to pray for them and help them if we can. Perhaps someday we will see them redeemed and made new. Our Lord has done more with less.

So people always telling that you dont have to label youself. And i dont know why i'm telling this but i just think my mum need to get some credits ! A week or 2 ago i was skype-ing with my lovely girl when my mum walked in my room.. Auto reaction i witched screens and my mum ask me what i was doing. I said that i was skype-ing with a friend and my mum keep asking things until she said i wanna speak to you after a few minutes.. So a few minutes later i had to tell her that i'm bisexual, i was crying and the first thing she said was "why are you crying i dont care what or how you like as long as that person is good for you". And i litterly was standing there like i didn't know if she was kidding of being real. But the best thing she said was "you dont need to label youself, you are you and you are my beautiful girl lotje" I'm so lucky to have her in my life. Love you mum💕

I would have thought I'd feel more excited and emotional getting accepted to College of Mount Saint Vincent. But I guess the only reason why I'm not feeling the emotion that I thought I would be feeling is because I'm still not sure if I receive the scholarship that I want the most; the Corazon Aquino scholarship. I would consider myself a high achieving Filipino descent.

Hmmm....

Thinking about a nose piercing….. My friend wants me too ever since she got one, and I kind of want one too. The only thing holding me back is that my parents will never let me forget that they don’t like them. They’re still getting over the piercings in my ears and they never see those! What do you think?
