Kkj AU where their angels are swapped and chiaki is being manipulated by Finn and Maron is the one who knows his double identity prior to meeting him instead. Chiaki has no playboy type behavior but is extremely earnest and frustrated by set backs and struggles even joking about making advances towards people, taking many things to heart and generally shy. Maron in this AU on the other hand is more obviously distant from other people, socially rejecting people in her daily life while secretly longing for closeness, but feeling that she can’t let anything interfere with her mission, that she doesn’t deserve that soft feeling in her heart, and she wants to steer chiaki away from being a phantom thief. Chiaki doesn’t trust her much since she comes across as blunt and mean, but as Jeanne he dislikes her for interfering and believe her to be working for the devil, accusing her of working working with the cops against him and corrupting the city. When he finds out that Maron and Jeanne are one in the same, he suffers a breakdown and enters a deep depression, and when Maron tries to check on him he blows up at her, eventually shouting asking why she’s bothering him since she got what she wanted, he no longer has the will to work for God, and asked her why she’s still messing with him, that he thought she was his friend, and he blurts out that he even liked her but couldn’t admit sooner. She’s taken aback because she didn’t know he felt that way and tries to explain her reasoning but he cuts her off and begs her to leave. She’s does, and after she’s gone he starts crying. Maron demands that Access explain how a decent and sensitive guy like that could be a pawn of the Devil, prompting them to dig further into explaining Finn. Meanwhile Finn continues to prod at Chiaki but his brooding and pain has demotivated him and so Finn begins influencing him more. Access is still in love with Finn and also wants to know how she’s become fallen.

Idk I just thought of this rn but I feel like I’m onto a good au concept idk. Warm but weary Jeanne and hopeful but timid Chiaki. (Now kiss)
