This was my launch party! February 22, 2012 at the W Pub in Tumon, Guam!
This was a chance to officially reveal my designs to the island! I had Dino Q Photography ( https://www.facebook.com/DinoQPhotography?ref=ts&fref=ts ) taking photos of the event and MIDpac Guam created the backdrop, banners and flyers and also provided the drink specials! I was tending bar at the W Pub at the time and I was able to use the visually stimulating bar for the launch! Hair was by Erica Bremmer. Makeup was by Sontanna. The T-shirt design was by Jay Ann Pronoble. Models were, Alicia, Ashley, Carissa, Korenn, and Sam!
The day of the launch was a very stressful one! I got up early and headed to meet up with the MIDpac people to get the flyers and set up the backdrop! I also had to decorate! No detail was overlooked. I even made guitar pick and skull-n-crossbones shaped confetti for the tables and floor! I couldn't get over seeing "JBtenFourDesigns Launch Party" on these huge banners! It still makes me happy to think about it all!
The models were coming over at 5 to get hair and makeup done and also get their shirts! I finished decorating at 4:30ish and I had a girl already at the apartment! Epp! I rushed home and hair, makeup and the other four girls weren't far behind me! It felt like backstage of a fashion show, right in my living room! There was so much to do! I had to meet with each girl after they were all ready and I had to find the right accessories for them to wear! (which wasn't hard, they were all so cute and fierce!) I also had to cut up their tees to make them a little more fitted and cutting edge! I made sure the girls ate some pizza delivery (MY models EAT! hehe) and we were off, JUST in the nick of time!
I thought the bar looked great during the day, but walking in there with the lights and the music, it was just perfect! I had pulled it off! It was like a red carpet event! And it was the coolest thing ever to have my 'entourage'! I imagine that this is how Gwen Stefani felt with her 'Harajuku girls'! I loved every minute of it and the girls did so well with showing off my designs and talking up JBtenFour to everyone!
The whole thing was a success! I am so thankful that I had so many people able to help pull this all together! Hopefully there will be more events like this to come!
