I just started up a shop! I’ve had an Etsy shop for a while now but I know some people don’t want to start an Etsy account just to buy my work!
This is the solution to that problem! I’m still uploading items, so check back in frequently!

This is a new collection I'm working on! I call it "Hashtag Prom".
This past weekend, I visited Venice Beach, CA with a couple friends. If you've never been, it's a place full of all types of people. There's so much to look at, and there's so much creativity! The street is lined with vendors selling things such as hand painted sugar skulls, artwork on surfboards, and jewelry... lot and LOTS of jewelry!
I had the pleasure of talking to a lady who had this wonderful energy and passion for what she did. She makes lots of jewelry, but her 'claim to fame' is her "love catchers"...as she puts it, "A whimsical & loving interpretation of the Native American Dreamcatcher."
I have never seen anything like it before! They are so cute! (above is the link to her website!)
Beth is from Nashville, as the title of this blog says, haha, and she talked to my friend Karla and me for at least ten minutes. I told her how I make jewelry also and how I was so impressed with her work! I showed her some pictures of my designs and, knew I HAD to purchase one of her creations!
I could only choose one item (unfortunately) and I chose the wine cork ring! She even made it right on the spot for me! She did it so quickly and skillfully!
I'm very glad to have met Beth. She is a very inspiring lady and hopefully I will be back to Venice Beach to buy everything she has! hehe
These are a couple more pictures of just me at the Launch party in Guam! I swear, I'm not sure I ever felt more beautiful! (this was also when I was heavier than I've ever been used to!) Maybe it was the professional hair by my good friend Erica Bremmer, or the professional makeup by Sonatanna, or the amazing photography by Dino Q, or the wonderfully lit bar in W Pub in Tumon, but I really have never felt better! It also helps that I have an amazing boyfriend who supports me and finds me most beautiful when I'm doing what I love to do! I'm just taken back by how great he is and how much he believes in me. It's putting a smile on my face right now!
ANYWAY!!!!
I can honestly say that I started this blog to not only document my progress, but it's also to document the people who have supported me, backed me, and truly have loved me throughout this whole process. I would have given up by now if it weren't for the people who believe in my! So.... I sincerely thank you!
xoxo,

This lovely lady is Leandra. She is one of the many stunning young models that live on Guam. She was nice enough to do this shoot (my FIRST shoot for JBtenFour!) for free! Not only that, but this was my first chance to work with Dino Q photography! ( https://www.facebook.com/DinoQPhotography?fref=ts ) Dino Q was also took photos of the launch party!
This was January 2012. I remember being so excited that entire week leading up to the big shoot! I was working at W Pub at the time, so my boss was nice enough to let us use his bar before it opened. That beautiful wall of lights HAD to be part of the shoot! It's colorful and crazy like me!
Dino brought a makeup artist (who did all the girls' makeup for the launch party!) and Leandra brought changes of clothes. It was so cool that all this hooplah was for MY designs! It still puts a smile on my face! This shoot will always have a special place in my heart!
taking a break from designing. -jb
