"Shall we go back for him?" Axca asked.

"Who?" Lance asked, dazed as he tried not to stare at the large hand on him. It was the first time the prince had touched him outside of a courtesy handshake.

"Your..." Lotor gestured vaguely as if grasping for the correct word before hesitantly settling on, "lover?"

Lance blinked. Once. Twice.

"My what now?"

Lance was tucked into his neck, breathing steadily. The rhythmic rise and fall of his chest felt more than heard. Keith closed his eyes and puckered his lips into Lance's temple. Not a kiss, just a press.

"You don't have to wait until I'm asleep, you know," his voice was quiet, a warm tickle at his throat.

Keith could feel himself flush, caught red-handed. "I-I'm sorry."

"Don't be. Do it again."

When I started writing my first klance fanfic after season one, I tried very hard to keep it cannon compliant. I hadn't seen any of the previous reiterations of Go Lion Force, so I didn't really know anything about the characters or what was to come. I just liked the characters and I liked the story so far and was hungry for more.

But the more seasons out the harder it was to stick to the cannon.

So be warned that the sequel fic, and probably all other fics, will depart from the cannon as is my god-given right as a silly little fanfic author.
