I seem to have forgotten to post this:

It was a rare day off, no training, no missions, no Hollowsappearing out of nowhere (not that he’d hold his breath, there were always moreHollows waiting around the next corner).

Kisuke and Tsuzuki were relaxing in the parlour, shooting thebreeze.

“I just have one question.”

Kisuke gave him an inquisitive look.

“Why are you setting up a tea ceremony?”

They both looked down.

“Er. Habit?”

“I cannot believe you think this is relaxing.”

Kisuke shrugged. In that same motion he flipped the teacupover, poured a generous amount, and it somehow landed neatly in front ofTsuzuki without spilling a single drop.

Tsuzuki stared down at it dubiously as though the teacupmight bite him.

Yeah. Especially since all I see is... Ty wins the shootout contest and the losers have to tenderly take off his skates while 70s music plays in the background.  (Which really, all I know is that Ty won the shootout and the losers had to do something involved with taking his skates off)

At least someone thinks so.  Can’t tell you how many Jungle Cruise trips ended with people laughing, getting off and saying “That was so cute.”

Which leads to one of my fave stories.  I snapped one day after the 8th tour where someone called me cute.  So I did the most manic trip I’ve ever done in my life.  Guy got off my boat, shook his head.  “She’s crazy.”

I leaned out of the boat.  “But I’m cute, right?  You still think I’m cute, right?”

It is a miracle I didn’t get a complaint for that.

Here I was, minding my own business, having a late lunch and listening to a friend babble excitedly about Fullmetal Alchemist because I finally possess some background knowledge -

- and she’s talking about the AUs in the fandom and I just interjected, very off-hand, “Seems like everything’s either a canon divergence, a future fic, or a mundane AU. Has anyone considered Roy as a Special Ops squad leader and Ed the newest addition to his team, and them being sent to investigate a human trafficking ring (which is actually a cover-up operation for the manufacture of philosopher’s stones), a mission which they were never meant to survive?”

There was a sudden (figurative) silence on the line, followed by what appears to be screaming coming from across the Pacific Ocean.

Well there you go! :)  There is some stuff I wanted to share, but it’s for upcoming things.  So there are some surprises ahead.

UAD

See, this one is tough because accidentallydoingthings knows basically every embarrassing story behind this fic.

I’d written the first chapter before BiteCon, but wanted to post while I was there so that people had something to read on my Wattpad profile.  I literally drew the cover after getting back from Day 1.  And drafted the rough outline with ninja-disguised-as-a-librarian over the course of it.  She knows things.

Antoni’s obsession with being late?  That’s the Oldest Kidlet, who constantly worries that we’re going to be late even when we leave for school 20 minutes before it starts, and we could walk to the school in 5 minutes.  It’s endearing, but mostly aggravating.

Uh, there’s a lot of truth in the early UAD scenes.  If you didn’t know, there’s a Hot Dad at my kids’ school.  Tall, beardy and built.  This whole thing started because I’d been telling Evey about my general fail around him and we realized it sounded like a Sterek fic.  (He’s happily married, btw, just distractingly good looking)

The sweatpants thing in chapter one really happened.  A mom really did walk into a pole (amazingly that wasn’t me).

The brain food thing came from my mom.  When I was in elementary school, she’d tell me what was brain food (nuts, peanuts and fish).  Which led to me having tuna sandwiches on test day from elementary school all the way through college.  (It worked)
