Randomly, I'm thinking about how Roy knew Ed's father in fma 2003 reminds me of this one shot in this royed drabble collection I read a long time ago where a 10 year old Roy was apprenticing/learning under Hohenhiem. And one day in the fic Hohenhiem tells kid Roy that his wife had a baby, he has a son named Edward. And Roy is surprised because his teacher never told him he had a wife or was going to have a son. And Hohenhiem smiles and makes some joke that maybe Roy and his son could be friends some day. I can't remember the fic, I think it was on fanfiction. net. But I remember thinking how cute it was, this vague connection Roy has with Ed in the past. Obviously this fic was really old. But still cute. And now Im thinking of a 10 year old Roy meeting baby Ed, even for just one day.

Totally, and it works because it's true. Also I just love an Ed who eventually gets confident enough to say stuff like that to Roy. Yes I like when Ed is flustered and Roy is flirty. But I also love it when Ed is confident and Roy is looking like a love sick idiot. Roy in love looking like an idiot about it is everything.
