Neither of them canonically have jealousy or possessiveness issues. Both are actually really good about it. No reason to argue Yuuri does (when he doesn't), as a counter to saying Victor doesn't.
No, they both don’t! :) Please don’t misunderstand, there’s NO bus throwing here whatsoever. First of all I’m not talking about it as a negative issue so much as how it’s used/how it happens. “to get the the aww cute/doki doki effect”
It’s mostly little things that they add, not just that line in the play but in other collabs and the museum, that are NOT AT ALL indicative of any unhealthy issues - but small lines/moments in the extras that, as I already said, are meant to evoke aww/doki/kyun. Like the “I am his best fan” thing and “Victor is MY coach” etc. NOT a bad, but intentional moe points sprinkled here and there - typical in its usage, meant to be not at all negative, instead cute. Totally harmless here - not remotely approaching an actual jealousy/possessive issue.
(As for Eros, not exactly about it specifically, but how to explain. I don’t want to be at cross-purposes here... with Yuuri in series, he sometimes exhibits a sense of “mine” which I personally couch with possessiveness* and IT’S GOOD INSTEAD OF NEGATIVE like you said. A healthy sense of “mine” is great?? But aside from being good in all seriousness - my actual point is it’s used to thrill the audience in that same way. Like the hated by the world thing? It’s tbh more impact than just doki, lol, but again made to provoke effect along those lines.)
Victor is not really used to evoke those specific effects, and the only time he gets remotely jealous it’s quite atypical - that’s where the contrast is. It’s so different. Way too big of a to-do, too crazy wild to be cute*, too silly for what’s supposed to be cool or thrilling, explosively competitive and gung-ho and therefore ACTUALLY potentially gross (but it’s not!!), and then surprisingly deep/sensitive for SUCH a ridiculously dumb situation. It’s so weird and yet still positive, and that is why I LOVE it. The usual tropes/reactions/uses for jealousy??? lolno (Ah by the way! I forgot: Except I’ve seen it done more often and more typically than with Yuuri in english fic/things when i was still deep in fic, another contrast and one I don’t fully understand but fandom gonna fandom how they want :))
*And perhaps you don’t, which is fine. But there’s no negative meaning there or in any other aspect of my post.
*Not in the way it’s meant with Yuuri, that is, but hahaha I find it cute anyway.
