Gabriel had taken the cordless home phone and Carter’s mobile phone before she had woken up. He walked towards his car, locking the front door to Carter’s house before reaching his sleek car, placing the cellular devices inside. He had a smug look on his face as he placed himself inside his car, remembering the previous day when he had had his way with Carter.
He drove down to the local coffee shop, needing to get himself a caffeine fix. After he received his coffee, he walked down the pathway, looking for somewhere peaceful to sit for a moment. It wasn’t often Gabriel needed a peaceful environment to place himself in, but today was that day.
He felt a pair of eyes on him as he stood on the pavement overlooking all of the people in the park. He tilted his head slightly before raising his eyebrows. "May I help you?"
