My mom bought me an ace flag for pride and it just showed up wtf 🥺😭

I made another mini pride landscape! This time it's the ace (asexual) flag, featuring some lavender fields. Might slowly make my way through as many flags as I can think of… Original artwork available to buy from my online shop

Uni ace flag yayyy!

I've done a slightly desaturated/lower contrast version of it, and I think it looks a bit like a paper print-out. It's easier on my eyes this way even though the colours are basically the same as the original design, which I also love.

(edit: i've been made aware that official desaturated versions actually already exist on the aceingrace ko-fi!)

My more personal interpretations of this flag are under the cut <3

I've had more time to think about this flag and how it relates to my specific experience of asexuality. The existence of this flag has made me feel more comfortable thinking about how different parts of my identity might or might not be interacting with my aceness, with the permanent and immediate visual reassurance that it's okay to be this way.

The yellow and pink stripes in particular feel like such a big hug. To me, those two stripes together feel like self-acceptance of all parts of myself, with respect and patience for all of it. That I can be ace and all these other things at the same time, and it's all packaged up to create something uniquely me, and that my survival despite allosexual norms is worth being proud of and worth talking about.
