He smiled in amusement, half-turning as Tetsu suddenly appeared by his elbow, hugging him tightly around his waist. "Do you need something?" He asked, eyes glittering in mirth.

my muse wakes up next to yours after a night in vegas without a clue of what's happening
Las Vegas, most popularly known as the Sin City — the gambling capital of the world. It’s a sparkling, exciting world of non-stop partying and casinos and adult fun. It’s also known as the Capital of Second Chances — the city to go to for starting over. When he finally graduated from college, got his degree, the first thing he did was booked a flight to Nevada. An hour after receiving his certificate, he was on the plane. He shut off his mobile, ignoring the missed calls and text messages. He was going to party, let himself go and get himself utterly wasted, damn it. He didn’t want to remember the abandoned ring at the bottom of his wardrobe, didn’t want to remember his ex-girlfriend of four years. He needed this. His sister’s encouragements had been the final push. Kiba was usually quite impulsive, but this has to be the first time he done something so completely reckless. He has money saved aside for leisure, so that wasn’t a problem. He has not gone travelling alone before, and it was slightly terrifying. The worry and doubt was soon washed aside the moment he drove past the blinking ‘welcome to Las Vegas’ signboard. He instantly threw himself into the night life — and he has never felt anymore freer. For an entire week, he found himself partying and dancing and making friends from all walks of life, his life back at home forgotten for a brief period. He was never careless though, never let himself go too far to get himself drunk and passed out in the middle of nowhere — never brought anyone back to his hotel. It was much too soon. Kiba always has a habit of getting attached too fast. Until one morning he woke up with a pounding headache, his throat feeling like sandpaper and his mouth like cotton. He blinked drowsily up at the unfamiliar ceiling. The pain in his skull magnified when he tried to sit up. Groaning, he pressed the heel of his palm against his temple as he pushed himself up. …He was naked under the sheets. Suddenly awake, he noticed the bruises on his hips and arms, the insistent throbbing around his neck and the ache in his muscles.Fuck. He felt dread growing at the pit of his stomach as he looked to his side.Buried under the covers was a person. "Fuck." he said out loud, closing his eyes. He was an utter moron. He briefly took note of the stranger’s appearance. Delicious dark skin, brown hair and young. His face looked almost feminine. He was pretty, Kiba guessed, but he wasn’t sticking around to care. He couldn’t even remember going home with this man. What exactly happened last night? He slid out of the bed, picking up his scattered clothes. Quickly putting them on, he set out to find his wallet, mobile and keys amongst the mess on the floor.

╰☆╮Friday came too soon. That morning Tetsu woke up and found his schedule completely empty except for the meet up with his ex lover. Of course that was the last thing on his mind all week since he had to get ready for the wedding. Not only that, but the man whom he tried to avoid for six years is someone he’d have to see every week until the wedding. The young wedding planner hopped out of bed reluctantly then dragged himself to the shower. There was so much to do and yet Friday was his free day. Of course he made it that way. Once out of the shower, Tetsu decided to dress casually and made surehe looked presentable enough yet casual. Before leaving the small studio apartment, Tetsu grabbed some toast from the toaster and left. He could vaguely remember both his and Kiba’s meeting. It was when the two were first years and that Tetsu was running late with toast in his mouth. How nostalgic. When he arrived at the shop, he realized that he was ten minutes early. Surely knowing Kiba he was bound to be a little late. So instead of leaving his car, Tetsu decided to pass time by going over the checklist and reviewing what the bride wanted. However, no matter how much he went over the checklist, time was not in his favor. Ten minutes had passed and still no sign of Kiba. Tetsu let out a loud sigh before exiting his vehicle.
He was running late by the time he ended school. The lecturer had held them back for a last minute briefing for next week's test. By the time he arrived to his destination, he was at least fifteen minutes late. He glanced at the street name -- Quincy Ave. There, the signboard bright and ostentatious was the shop Tetsu had instructed him to go. He walked forward, peering into the shop's glass window. He had been mentally preparing for today for days, but the sight of Tetsu -- older, more mature and yet as beautiful as ever -- demolished any resemblance of effort. His right hand trembled minutely and he clenched it tightly, nails digging into his palm to control himself It's just a professional relationship, he reminded himself. Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the door and entered the shop. Tetsu turned towards him when the doorbell jingled merrily. The only people in the shop was the salesgirl, Tetsu and himself. He cleared his throat. "I'm sorry I'm late. I was delayed in school." This was the most nerve wrecking thing in his entire life -- minus his portfolio presentation to the school board that was going to determine his future a couple of weeks ago. For a split moment, he felt a multitude of emotions -- anger, sadness, shock and heartbreak. He didn't know it was possible to be this full of emotions. He hasn't felt this much ever since Tetsu left. Numbing himself has gotten him this far. In the deepest, darkest corner of his mind, he hated Tetsu for shattering all that work and effort. "Shall we get started?" he asked, and hoped to god that Tetsu hadn't heard the brief tremble of his voice. He has a feeling that this was going to be exhausting.

Perched on top of the tree, with one leg hanging out, the inugami watched the group of humans entered the church. He sighed as he leaned back behind his cover, licking his fingers idly, where he could still taste the lingering blood on them. The unstoppable rage that his species was so notorious of drove them to senseless murder most of the time, but he was old and smart enough to learn proper control of his own instincts. But that doesn’t means that he didn’t enjoy the occasional havoc — or murder. Anyway, while he was always an advocate for chaos, this time he has a mission. One of his brethren has been going too far. While they were usually solitary creatures and kept out of each other’s way, this demon has caused too much trouble in his territory. He has been tracking the wayward demon for weeks now, and he was starting to realize that there was no particular pattern in the other’s murders. It just killed anyone that got into its way, destroying villages and rampaging through towns in an unpredictable manner. It was starting to piss him off. And if things wasn’t bad enough, the damn demon had been starting to attract attention from priests, supernatural warriors and hunters whose job was to decimate demons and creatures like him. He wasn’t entirely sure of it yet, and he has no desire to make sure of it, a priest was currently tracking him. He must have killed the wrong person in the past, he thought with a groan. Just as he thought that, his hackles suddenly raised and he sat up in alarm. He dodged the sudden attack and lurched out of his hiding spot. He caught a glimpse of dark skin and red eyes but he didn’t stick around as he fled from the priest. He glanced down to see a spot of blood forming on his right shoulder, the wound burning a path of fire down his arm. The attack was imbued with holy water, slowing down his healing. He gripped his shoulder, wincing. He slowed, feeling the holy water entering his body. Great, now he was stuck in his human form. He couldn’t even protect himself by transforming. He tensed as he felt a presence appeared. He turned and glared at the priest warily, trying to put on a brave front. He has met several priests in the past, but he has a feeling that this one was of a different calibre. He hasn’t been caught off guard for decades. When the priest finally came to view, he was momentarily startled by the dark-haired youth standing before him. Dark-skinned, brown hair and wide red eyes. He was a mere child. His vision darkened and he swayed, staggering on the spot. His last thought was an incredulous and panicked shit before he collapsed in front of the priest, helpless and defenseless.
'What is it and Buddha leading me to older and older demons,' Manji mumbled as she tried her best to blend into the dried grass blades in the field. This power was definitely strong, despite being capped by something, giving good warning to the young fox woman to stay out of bounds.
