Me saying I hc a character as gay and ace/aro isn’t inherently homophobic. People often hc characters to have a certain sexuality to feel comfortable with themselves. I deserve to have headcanons that represent me and comfort me.
Not all ace/aros think gay people shouldn’t express their sexuality or have a sex life, just like most gay people arent pedophilic. Those who are give us a bad name and we get grouped together.
Like I’ve said before, ace/aros saying they’re uncomfortable with sex/romance is different from telling gay people not to express themselves. It isnt because they’re gay.
I understand it might feed a stigmatism that gay people shouldnt express their sexuality but ***people need to learn the difference between desexualizing gay people and having headcanons for personal comfort.***
