(Al, it’s me! Wait, I can’t speak human…) –Purrrrr~
As she lifts him, unable to speak, Phoenix bumps his nose against Alice’s lips, starting to purr loudly at the sight of her. Whoever had given him this spell sure had to love pranks, but who?
Nevermind, he would find out later, after the spell was gone. Now, maybe Alice would get the idea if he tried harder, right? That’s how he begins licking the tip of her nose.
Chuckling at his affections, she holds the kitty close. “Aren’t you a sweetheart?” Walking further into their apartment, Alice looks for Phoenix, wondering if he had anything to do with the cat. She’d gotten home pretty late after a night shift and was expecting him to be home already.
“Hmm... Do you think Phoenix is working late too, kitty? Let’s give him a call.” Grabbing her phone, she tries his cell to no avail. “Well, if he’s focused enough he won’t even hear it ringing. I’ll try again later.”
Walking into the master room, she gently places him down on the bed and steps out of her boots. “...I wonder if you’re hungry. I want to take a shower but maybe I should leave you with some food before that.”
