2. Do they have any daily rituals?

Oh, yes, definitely.  Squall is very much about order, whether he admits it or not.  But his daily rituals are flexible to the sort of situation(s) he's in.  He's very adaptive in his rituals, as he has to be.

Most of his daily rituals simply have to deal with mentally organizing his day from the moment he wakes up, to hygiene and food.  Little stuff, but important.  He honestly doesn't even really give it much thought, it's a subconscious thing-- like an innate programming set up to start at boot.

3. Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often?

Yes, exercise and training is a part of his daily routine.  I always imagined that, even as a cadet, Squall would wake up early, change, and head for the training center for about an hour.  Then, after showering, he'd go about the rest of his day.  If he's stressed about something, or just needs to clear his head, he would spend it in the training center or library, as well.

7. Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time

Squall is not a time-waster.  Nooope.  He's rather impatient, and is all about time efficiency.  If he has free time, he generally spends it doing something productive-- whether that's building upon his pool of knowledge on interesting and/or relevant topics in the library or training in the training center.

That said, he doesn't look fondly upon those he feels are wasting his valuable time or energy.

19. What do they think about before falling asleep at night?

Squall thinks... about a lot of things.  Mostly, he'll let his mind wander over the day's events and reflect on them.  Sometimes, when he's exhausted enough, he doesn't spend much time thinking at all and will drift right off to sleep... but that's rare, despite the life he lives as a mercenary.

His mind is a busy one and, though he likes to talk and act like he doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything except himself, he has far too much of a tendency to reflect on others and wonder about their well-being.  He also thinks about the next day, his upcoming missions, his orders, and a manner of other things.

23. How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life?

Squall is meticulous.  About everything.  And he has a damn good photographic memory to go with it-- so don't move his shit so much an inch from where it was if you know what's good for you.

The most disorganized thing about this man is his thoughts and they're usually pretty well-ordered, so that might just give you an idea, perhaps, on just how organized he is about everything.  It helps, too, that Squall doesn't really keep much-- he's the opposite of a pack rat, tossing out anything he deems no longer useful and never purchasing any useless items.  (Though he does like weapon and travel magazines, finding them interesting, and keeps them stashed somewhere neat and out of sight.)

29. Reaction to sudden extra-personal disaster (eg.: The house is on fire! What do they do?)

Squall's first reaction is to take charge and think on his feet-- what are the necessary preparations in dealing with this situation?  Is there anyone in danger and what is the best course of action to minimize the casualties?

He doesn't generally panic, not like the average person-- rather, he goes on edge.  But he's quick to move to action and is incredibly objective in his resolution, always seeking to keep casualties to an absolute minimum.  For a guy who doesn't like being given responsibility, he places a lot of it on his shoulders on his own and, so, should anything go wrong, he'll most likely blame himself almost entirely.

30. Reaction to sudden interpersonal disaster (eg.: close family member suddenly dies)

Squall... really doesn't know how to deal with loss very well, and he generally withdraws within himself even further than he usually is.  He treats others coldly, because he doesn't want to grow close to people enough to care when they inevitably do leave him behind at some point.  He blames himself and his weakness in allowing himself to grow dependent in some way on the one he lost, he blames them for not being strong enough to stick around.  He goes back and forth, wallowing in his thoughts and finding it difficult to move past the loss completely for a long time.

39. What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?

Good question.

Squall continues on until a job's done, regardless how exhausted or beat down he feels.  He's very stubborn and doesn't take into account how far down he's dragging himself physically till he's incapable of moving.  

But there are times when Squall lags, second guessing himself and his actions-- times when he's not really sure what to do.  When he's like this, all that anyone can do is give him some words of encouragement to light the fuel to the flame in him.

And by words of encouragement, I mean a reminder as to why he can't simply give in just yet, why giving up just isn't the answer.  Words to revitalize his determination, a reminder that sitting around and thinking about something does not equate action-- that perhaps he's just thinking about things the wrong way and he needs to get his head out of his ass.

You know, that sort of thing.

46. Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds?

More often than not, Squall speaks his thoughts through his body language.  He thinks and mumbles to himself a lot-- words rule his actions, most definitely-- but most people don't actually hear those words, they simply see him acting those words out through subtle body language.

And in terms of his deeper emotions, Squall acts without thinking it through and questioning himself as he goes.  He has the unfortunate disconnect from the emotional matters of his heart and the purely objective thoughts of his mind and, so, finds himself acting on feelings he wasn't quite aware of till he's thrusting himself out and behaving impulsively when under pressure.

So, actions.  They speak louder than his thoughts, most definitely.  :|

49. If this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like?

He'd be very abrasive in his actions, and he wouldn't hold back.  He's a physical guy as it is, and, while fighting with just his fists isn't his typical ~thing~, it's not like he wouldn't know how to throw a punch.  Squall could land some nasty hits and, depending who he's up against, is likely to break something.  :| This is also taking into consideration that, if he's fighting with his fists, he's likely pissed off over something.

50. Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?

...Yes, I'd say Squall's afraid of death, dying.  But... I think, personally, that it's not so much death that he's afraid of, it's leaving something behind.  More than anything, Squall's really sensitive about how people perceive him and he doesn't want others to speak of him as though he was but a passing memory.  I feel Squall desires much more from his life, whether he's fully aware of it or not himself.  He wants to leave some sort of legacy behind-- not necessarily anything overstated or extravagant.  He's no dreamer.  But he definitely would want to be remembered as not someone whom others knew in the past that was dead and gone... but as someone who, though dead, is somehow still there.

His concern is how people will talk about him when he's gone, not necessarily death itself.  Squall will risk his life for those he cares about regardless, and his fate, he knows, is to die at some point and there's no point in fearing it.  It's just...

What will he leave behind, when he does die?  How will people talk about him, perceive him?
