           éric  knew  he  probably  made  a  mistake  the  moment  he  made  his  decision  in  reaching  out  to  sirius.  after  his  fall  out  with  silas  over  his  own  betrothal  situation,  maybe  someone  like  sirius  would  understand  where  éric  was  coming  from.  even  if  the  two  hadn’t  talked  in  a  while.  ❛  i  guess  i  should  thank  you  for  meeting  me  —  i  wouldn’t  have  blamed  you  if  you  didn’t,  truly.  ❜

in a fair world, where do you think you'd stand against your siblings?

            “  i  think  we’d  all  get  along  much  better  if  that  were  the  case ,  i’d  have  got  what  was  mine  —  both  by  merit  and  by  birth  —  and  mum  wouldn’t  have  taken  out  her  frustrations  about  her  and  dads  obviously  failed  marriage  on  elsie .   i’m  not  a  fool ,   i  don’t  think  everything  would’ve  been  perfect  but  i  think  at  least  we’d  be  united ?  ”

“It was silly when I had paint on my upper lip at breakfast. I fell asleep on my easel.”

            “  it’s  always  those  tiny  ones ,   the  ones  that  have  snuck  away  from  their  mothers  skirts  and  are  really  just  there  to  snoop .   let’s  just  say  it’s  fun  to  put  on  a  show .   one  they’ll  never  forget  ”
