CRYSTAL JONES - ex-athlete + messy gay thot

she’s a “regular degular schmegular girl from the bronx,” to quote her idol (cardi b)

but to get more into it, she loves basketball, her family, and weed

she’s stubborn as hell - after a championship game injury that resulted in a torn acl, crystal avoided physical therapy for a very long time until receiving enough pushes from her parents and older brother.

she decided to attend the university of connecticut after being granted a full-ride scholarship, but she lost her chances after her injury, and temporarily gave up on any prospects of attending college.

now, crystal gets by through coaching children’s basketball at summer camps and ymca centers across the city (because stubborn as she might be, her love for basketball could never be eclipsed by her bad knee)

kind of was a homewrecker back in the day ??? she once got a lil too close to a kid’s parent after a basketball game & long story short she ruined a marriage (but helped a local hot mom realize she wasn’t straight) !!! oops.

when she isn’t teaching elementary-age kids proper layup techniques, she’s probably downing a bottle of hennessy, watching big brother (season 18), or making late-night fast food runs after a good hit from a blunt.

...so naturally im late af to the intro and the opening but here we go anyway!

hey yall i’m jayla, i’m a taurus and i suck @ plotting but i love doing it anyway so message me or s/t but more importantly here’s some stuff about my annoying son, rajesh!

most people call him raj. his mother and anyone he deems worthy enough to have the privilege, call him rajesh

he’s the child of a single mother. after his father left when he was 4, his mother attempted to get back into dating causing many men coming into rajesh’s life. it was never bad at first, raj often got attached and whoever his mother was dating as a father figure until they broke up and he disappeared and the cycle started all over again.

naturally, this only encouraged the formation of daddy issues and trust issues. fun.

he’s a smart kid, street smart and quick on his feet. despite having potential, rajesh rarely applied himself to school and gave a feeble attempt at college to put an end to his mother’s nagging about it before dropping out during his sophomore year – in his defense, he at least tried the college thing and all he has to show for it is student loans.

rajesh is promiscuoius. he likes sex and he isn’t ashamed to say he likes sex, with many different people or with different partners at the same time. his apartment has a tendency to be a lost and found for socks, bras, shirts and an eclectic collection of jewlery.

he doesn’t form attachment easily, whether it be romantic or platonic, as he dislikes the idea of being too dependent on people but, naturally, there a few exceptions to this

rajesh has never been in love nor does he have any real desire to be in love.

despite his apprehension towards relationships, he’s very much a people person and isn’t a fan of being alone or being lonely. he’ll do anything to avoid this whether it be just hanging out with friends, working, partying or sex.

rajesh is hardly a moral compass and tends to see things more in shades of gray rather than a strict black or white.

he’s just plain irresponsible, especially when it comes to money and finances, he has no idea what a savings account is and can often be caught borrowing money and if you do lend him some, don’t expect to be paid back. thankfully, the only time he’s consistently responsible is during sex.

 he’s kind of, sort of completely a cocaine addictw hich is just not a good luck on him especially considering he, as a freelance/aspiring comic book artist hardly gets paid enough to keep up his addiction. . and yes, he realize how ironic it is considering how anti-dependency but he doesn’t realize enough to the point where he sees himself as an addict.  it started at parties and then got more frequent until it was just apart of his routine however his addiction was very much spurred a recent time in his life where he wasn’t getting work and instead he turned to drugs. 

well that got kinda dark here are some fun facts:

he takes the song uber everywhere very seriously as he cannot afford a car, his mta card is his best friend

he’s nearly been arrested twice jumping the turnstile

he swears he can dance….. he can’t

he takes great pride in his hair and his bathroom is filled with a ridiculous amount of conditioner. he’s convinced he should star in a tresemme commercial

as a comic book artist and fan, he has an impressive comic book collection and has been batman for halloween for the past 3 years

he’s a big fan of the dog filter

hello i'm mae and this is a little bit about my sunbeam (aka abel)

-abel’s label is the recluse so he’s kind of shy and basically just tends to keep to himself. like he’s not the kind of person to casually make small talk with someone sitting next to him.

-he was born and raised in new york but has only been living in the city for about three years.

-he’s a bit of a serious person, which is mainly because he’s often stressed af because of writer’s block and that’s where the drugs come in.

-he ran into an old acquaintance from school when he went home for thanksgiving a year ago and briefly mentioned his problem with writer’s block. a few days later, the acquaintance texted abel, telling him that he “knew a guy” in the city that would give him a good deal on some adderall. abel brushed it off but after a few days, he decided to check it out.

-abel has been illegally taking adderall for the past year and a half. recently, he has also started to get into hallucinogens like LSD or mescaline (usually just LSD though bc mescaline is hella expensive) in hopes that it’ll help spark inspiration and creativity. but he doesn’t let anyone know about his drug use.

-he’s not a ‘touchy feely’ kind of guy but if he likes you, he’ll let you know in his own way.

-he’s got a mom and two sisters (one older, one younger). abel’s relationship with them is p average. he makes sure to go home and visit every now and then but he’s not the kind of person that calls their mom every week to tell them what’s going on, yanno?

-also he won’t admit it but his favorite way to procrastinate is to watch shitty reality shows (botched is his favorite). he’ll totally deny it though if you try to call him out on it.

thats pretty much the gist of him. he'll definitely transform a bit as the rp goes on. feel free to message me if you're interested in plotting!!

hello hello! so i thought i’d introduce myself. my name is hayley and i’ll be playing my smol, pained child, lila. i’m working on her bio page, I swear.  ANYWAY, I’ll tell you a bit about her in the meantime!

She was originally born and raised in New York, but moved to Vermont at the age of 13 following her mother’s want to open her own medical clinic. From there she returned to her former neighbourhood of Morningside Heights by majoring in English at Columbia. 

She spent most of her teenage years being overshadowed by the achievements of her older sister, Aria, who was also pretty clearly the favourite child of her parents. 

She has struggled with finding regular work since graduating. She submits her short stories to literary magazines on a regular basis, but has yet to be published. 

She works as an agony aunt columnist for a local newspaper (which is hilarious to me as she barely knows how to deal with her own problems, let alone those of other people lmao).  Struggles on a daily basis with the concept of fulfilling her dreams versus actually having a decent meal.  She comes from a very long ling of doctors, and is somewhat the black sheep of the family for wanting to be a writer. 

She’s incredibly impulsive? When she discovered her ex in bed with her sister on her 23rd birthday, she left for Peru with what little money she had left and spent the next four months there ‘finding herself’. In reality she was mainly avoiding her problems. She also stole her dog, Fuzzbucket, back from her ex’s apartment. 

She moved to Alphabet City seven months ago, after returning from Peru as the apartment was one of the only listings she could actually afford. 

In general she is a very determined, loyal person who tends to go through bouts of crippling self-pity lol. She also grows attached to people very quickly?
