Misconceptions || Kafei & James
Kafei awoke in his dimly lit room slowly as the pain of the day before started to creep upon him. Flexing his jaw carefully, he felt what must have been bruises all across his face. He seethed when he went to lift his shirt and found purple markings across his ribs, as well. Breathing was made difficult by this and remembering yesterday made him wince subconsciously. Being beaten and thrown around like that took a toll on him… not to mention the other disheartening news he heard yesterday.
Stumbling from dizziness, he quickly headed to his mirror to assess himself. It wasn't too bad, but he didn't look great either. Maybe people will think I'm growing in a beard. He chuckled trying to make the best of the situation, but couldn't hide the fact that he was miserable and too much in pain. The laughing didn't do much good either.
He was unable to heal himself and decided that now would be a good time to find a doctor. But where? Kafei hadn't needed the medical assistance before, but this was too painful and brutal that he had to have something done about it. So off he went to find the nearest doctor.
He knew he would have a difficult time trying to find Haeyin so he sought out anyone he could. He was lead South with an address someone had given him and he found himself lost in this uncharted territory. He found the correct number but had to looked down at the piece of paper again before he looked up he grew incredibly confused. This can't be right. A run down doctor's office? He took a few steps forward and shook his head at the run down building, completely missing the sign above the door. As he peered into its broken windows, he saw a shadow standing in the back hall. Is that the doctor? Mustering up his courage, he pushed forward and knocked on the nearest wall to make some sort of noise.
"Excuse me? I was looking for some assistance?"
