Ever wish there would be less hacked beautiful towns and more that were actually not hacked and were worked hard on by good people?

Nope! I’ve seen & visited plenty of lackluster hacked towns and plenty of gorgeous non-hacked towns. Hacking isn’t like downloading a perfectly built magnificent town in 30 seconds; its a lot of hard work!

Hackers risk so much to do what they do including bricking their device! Because of hackers in the community we have access to Amiibo/DLC/Region Exclusive items, hybrids, clovers, etc, we get to visit their aptly named “dream towns”, some have been so generous that they’ve gifted me my entire 50+ item wishlist at once and then changed their town roster several times to help me adopt my dreamies FOR NOTHING IN RETURN.

With the restrictions of the game I honestly don’t blame anyone for hacking. I get angry every time I’m reminded of my town limitations like not being able to put objects near cliffs, other trees/pwps/houses, and after years of hardcore playing I don’t blame players for getting bored and taking things into their own hands to get the village they had envisioned. Plus, so many of their towns are downright inspirational! Sure its not within the games natural laws, but it makes people think of new possibilities for future games and try new things they may not have tried without first seeing the impossible version of it.

I have had ACNL since it came out and have been frustrated relentlessly by the limitations of the game. TBH I wouldn’t doubt if the reason you find it hard to find non-hacked towns is because some people got bored, some just don’t post/anymore, and some started hacking. Honestly I wouldn’t even be blogging or playing ACNL again if I didn’t stumble upon a hacked town on tumblr and become fascinated and restarted my town because of it. If I could hack my game you’re damn right I would’ve done so as I typed this.My town is as beautiful as it is today because I have had the inspiration of hacked towns. I even have my town planned out so if I ever can hack I only need to do a few “impossible” things (move a few trees near walls here, scoot a pwp there, add some life to my rivers, etc) and I will be completely happy with my town.

TDLR; HACKED TOWNS AND NON HACKED TOWNS ARE BOTH GREAT AND THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS HOW MUCH TIME AND WORK YOU ARE WILLING TO PUT INTO YOUR TOWN.STOP SHAMING PEOPLE FOR BEING CREATIVE AND WORK A BIT HARDER WITH YOUR TOWN. We’re all out here just trying to relax and play some animal crossing, yknow?
