Someone was approaching the gate, but they weren’t a soul? As the first sentry before the GATE it was AD’s job to alert the rest of the guards of their masters return with souls, but he didn’t sense his master at all.

Asgore sat upon his throne, his gaze distant as he peered off to an unknown location. A bitter smile planted onto his mouth. It was a very slow day today. However, it was typically like this now that the godess of life had left his side. But a strange feeling had seemed to plague him that morning. It wasn't something he couldn't exactly explain well enough for someone to understand.

Out of the corner of his eye, a flash of black seemed to move by. His smile dropped, and a curious expression came upon his face. He turned to his head to check what it had been, but it seemed to disappear. By then his eyebrows had furrowed in mild confusion. He couldn't tell if it had been a figment of his imagination, or if something was actually lurking about.
