It’s honestly wild how the fandom forgets that the entire plot of ACOTAR started with Lucien and Tamlin’s relationship.

Lucien lost his eye because he clapped back at Amarantha when she mocked Tamlin. Straight-up told her litteraly to go back to the shithole she crawled out of.
Then Tamlin got cursed like full court, 49-year , everyone masked because he couldn’t stay silent while she punished Lucien. He stood up, refused to take it, and paid the price!!!
The entire curse, Feyre ending up in the Spring Court, the dominoes that led to the Night Court arc all of that happened because two best friends(👀) couldn’t bear to watch the other suffer in silence.
And yet people act like their bond was some side note!!!
What’s even wilder is how some folks now say Tamlin "forced his rank" on Lucien as if Lucien wasn’t out there making his own choices.
They say Lucien was “forced” to act a certain way under Tamlin’s authority, but like… let’s be real. That’s the same Lucien who spit in Amarantha’s face, the same Lucien who risked his life repeatedly for both Tamlin and Feyre!!!!
The one who didn't need an oath to protect feyre for the sake of Tamlin!!
It wasn’t about rank it was about loyalty. About surviving something horrific together. About friendship and brotherhood!!!
Oooh I cannot wait for their relationship to finally heal compleatly in the coming book. There’s real depth there. Pain, loyalty, heartbreak and healing that still needs to happen.
Like how can you even hate on them while this is littarly them!!!
