It is often the case as a teacher or student, that if you have something new and acrobatic verbally explained to you, it's a bit like hearing a foreign language. You get the general sense of it but you've got to get it in your body or see it to really make sense of it. Even though I know this will be a building block for many skills to come, I love that @shortneyb and I were able to get our brains wrapped around this skill with @arthurdavis3 coaching and guiding. Consistency Part Deux: 8 Reverse Up's with dismount at the end to INXS. A soundtrack in the background put down by DJ Renato reminds me of the days when I used to dance and teach hip hop. Though beautiful to see, it's nice to move poses beyond the static hold and into something more dynamic or fluid. Here's an exploration of air walking, incredible leg and back movement and drags with super top @megan_vongoose during @acroarmy training with @arthurdavis3 in Redlands. There's something special about flipping a person up from their back, or cannonball into handstand that I find so attractive and when done right it feels amazing and easy. The more we are around people that help us grow the better we get. A year ago I wasn't regularly around anyone who could hold someone up with one arm except for elite performers and cheerleaders, but now several people can. So I had to document my first time as a starting place. Naturally the version before videotaping was much cleaner and much longer but here we have a brief moment in time with someone who makes it easy, @shortneyb followed by a clean reverse up to celebrate during @acroarmy training.
