"Darling, don't cry." - Alexander
She flinched slightly when she felt someone touch her, but once it clicked in her head that it was only Alexander wiping away her tears she relaxed. "I'm...not crying..." her voice was raw, raspy...clearly had been crying...a lot.
"It'd...be stupid to cry," she swallowed hard and looked away from Alexander. She felt another tear roll down her cheek. "Very stupid..."
She cleared her throat and pulled away from him, standing up and crossing her arms over her chest. "There's nothing to be sad about."
She turned and looked back at him, smiling, even though tears were still falling.
"After all...he was just a stupid dog."
