Art Weekend - Manchester Lamps by Acrylicize
In the city center of Manchester, five over-sized lamps of varying sizes and designs offer shade and shelter to passerbys. Each lamps represents a different era of the city's history as well as a different style, including Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Victorian, mid-century, and contemporary designs. The open books and pen nib motifs on the glass shade of the 1903 Art Nouveau Tiffany Lamp references the city's education history, including the UK's oldest public library.
