I'm listening to Tim Rogers' Tokimeki Memorial review again, because of course I am, and I realized something new:
Spoilers for a six hour video essay on Tokimeki Memorial
By the end of the video, he's discussing how the game requires you to effectively write Shiori and yourself into impossible characters in order to "succeed," which is a wild contrast from the beginning of the video where he says he had wanted to play the game again for this review because it offered him the opportunity to go back to high school and treat girls like people, instead of passively objectifying them like he had in high school in real life.
Like it's nothing earth shaking, just something I thought was interesting that's masked by the video's absurd length.
