IDK what your hair is like but a friend with naturally curly hair had the same problem and the consensus was those shampoo bars (at least depending on hair type) strip so much of the natural oil your hair goes nutso and makes too much and it gets oily as shit.
I have naturally wavy hair... not sure if that has the same issues as curly, but it certainly sounds like the same. It’s a real shame, because I want to like shampoo bars for their ease of travel and lack of plastic... but argh, this is unacceptable.
