Day 28 #activeaugust
My active august has turned into a not-so-active august cuz of my new keto eating habits. I feel like my stamina is just shotttt and I die halfway through any exercise. But this being the last week.. I’m going to try and step it up and make it to 4 workouts to end off the month.
Keto is going well tho! I’m over the keto flu which is dope. I’m back down to 179 which is great! Hopefully I can keep the momentum up and see some more movement there.
What I’ve been thinking about lately is... maybe I don’t need as many carbs as I think? Like obviously I’m still here living and also on a low-carb diet. But carbs have always the macro that I could never keep under control. I don’t think keto is sustainable long-term for me.. but trying this lifestyle on for size has already taught me that it IS possible for me to eat less carbs. And that vegetables are a good way to add volume to my meals so I feel super full. Who would have thought, eh? 😅
Just did leg/butt day. Lowkey almost barfed. That means it’s working right?
Day 4 #activeaugust
I’ve been feeling so so bloated the last couple of days. I’ve really been trying to stay away from the things that I know blows me up, but the belly still ain’t going down. 😔 disappointed in myself a little. I let my healthy patterns slip last month. I feel like I’ve ruined the progress I made.
BUT I’m starting a new exercise program that has me going 5 days a week this month, and I’ve still been killin the protein goals, so I hope that will make a difference.
Day 25 #activeaugust
Sooooo! Been a couple of days since I’ve last checked in. I have a new development. I’ve hopped on the keto train! Lol i know. I’m late and also it may be overrated but ya girl wanted to experiment so I thought I would at least try for fun!
Little did I know it’s not fun at all. This is my 5th day and I finally feel better but MY LORD is the keto flu real. It sucked! I felt like a weak lil baby, had all the headaches and nausea. But I did mad research and have tried to stay on top of my electrolytes and hydration since then. I woke up this morning and felt normal. Actually... maybe kind of good? We’ll see if this keeps on for the rest of the day.
Because of the sickness, I only got 2 workouts in so far this week. I hope to squeeze one in today to make 3 and I’ll be happy. Ok I think that’s it. Happy Saturday!
Day 21 #activeaugust
So I got back on track with eating today. I’ve re-adjusted the macros to see if the change will shock my system a little. Went for a 2.6k run this morning (which I never do) and I’m about to do abs!
So.. I wanna keep this up for the rest of the month! I... I had some lows the last couple of weeks... but I really want to make a conscious effort to be positive! I can do this!
Day 20 #activeaugust
Alright. I need to get back on track. I need to BE POSITIVE. tomorrow is a new day! The eating has slipped, the activity has been off track due to my injury... but life goes on! The journey ain’t over! Let’s lock it down for these last 11 days. Like... 11 days is going to go by so quickly right? We’re doing this.
