Just finished watching Season 1 of an Anime called Active Raid, and damn, is it good. It's like Patlabor but with more unique mech designs and armoured suits rather than full-on mecha.
I'd highly recommend it, it does have some "anime" moments, but they are few and far between; the series has cool fights and likable characters. Fav has to be the train/bus girl. She is just like me, for real. Not to mention the background details. You never know what you might see ;).
Anyway, onto Season 2; hoping it'll be as good as the first season.
