It's one thing to use Federal Officers to quell violent riots. I get it. And police have a hard job when they are called for that. But, it's another thing entirely to order the snatching of peaceful protestors (not even engaged in criminal activity) in unmarked vans and unmarked paramilitary uniforms. We must collectively and individually look ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves an uncomfortable question: how did we let it get this far. And what can we do to grow and improve? We must seek to become better #Americans, not more obedient #Republicans or #Demoncrats, or whatever else. And I believe us #veterans, #combat vets & noncombat alike, from all branches of #service, should #lead by example. If we, a conglomerate of people from all walks of life, can serve together in the #military, then there is hope for our divided #nation. But if we staunchly refuse to acknowledge the problems plaguing our nation, if we content ourselves to retreat behind the justifications dictated by party lines, then the problems will only get worse. Most of us have heard that POTUS has finally endorsed masks, albeit very, very late (after 143K dead), and likened them to patriotism. In all seriousness, if you changed your mind about masks (even if only a little) because #POTUS endorses them, I still thank you for changing your mind, and I thank you for helping quell this pandemic. I truly mean that, and even though it is so hard to convey that sincerity through faceless text, I hope you believe me. And sometime soon, perhaps in the coming weeks, it would be wise if you deeply reflect upon the uncomfortable question: "Why did it take this to change my mind?
