What motivates you to go out and shoot?
Different things. Sometimes it's because I'm going on a walk or a hike and I know it'll be pretty so I bring my camera, other times it's because the light is pretty so I want to capture it. A less exciting reason is that I don't have many photos left to edit and I need to shoot more. Back in high school when I took photo classes and was photo editor of the yearbook, I'd be taking photos for assignments. I do senior photos sometimes, so I'll sometimes post outtakes on this blog. I really should go out and shoot more, especially portraits.
I have encountered some of the most miraculous painting skills from young talent I have ever seen (re--ignite). I've seen photography that captivates me, and makes me wish I could afford a camera of my own (activeoblivion/fearwithout). I have followed the encounters of a woman and her crush, whom are engaged and will be getting married (bittersquirrel). I talk almost daily with a guy that has made me realize I am not alone with my problems, and neither is he (lorpe). I held conversations with a man who helped me to find the courage to come out as gay to my family and friends (thestrongestwolf). I've been given proof that what I look for in a man exists, and with a little perseverance I'll find a man to consider my soul mate (15-yemenroad-yemen).
These people and many more have impacted my life tremendously. The world is a beautiful place full of wonderful people. Never pass up the opportunity to get to know someone. You might be surprised what they have to teach you.
