Ooh you can grow crystals? Crystals grow on earth too but very slowly. Is there any difference between an earth crystal and a cybertroanin one?
Many of the same crystals are found on both planets, because elements will always combine in the same ways and form the same molecules due to chemistry. We can make them grow faster here though, and they grow pretty fast on their own too, because there are trace amounts of Energon in the environment. It accelerates a lot of other reactions.
There are some complex forms that are unique to Cybertron though. I only have one, that someone found deep under some rubble and saved due to Starscream’s conservation directive. They’re actually considered alive, and are made of composite crystals growing together to concentrate Energon for use in growing more of themselves. They’re a category of life that doesn’t exist on Earth at all, though I suppose you could compare them to plants. They’re also the only class of life on Cybertron that doesn’t have any kind of Spark. You could say “plant” life doesn’t have Sparks and “animal” life does. Plant life is crystal based and animal life is robotic. Some animals have crystals as part of their bodies though, like lilleths.
I’ve only read about most of the life forms that once existed on Cybertron, and everyone is hoping we find more that survived. I always look when I’m scouting, but so far I haven’t found much. Whenever I find something, I try and grow more of it.
