Personal story below cut!

When my therapists first told me that I had HPD, I was so overwhelmed. I begged them not to put it in my chart due to my fear of medical bias from other doctors. When I heard the "dramatic" and theatrical criteria, I felt... a bit bad! My whole life, I have had the term "dramatic" and "theatrical" weaponized against me, so this flag/term was my way of reclaiming it!
