Mmmmm....i don't want to start riots but if we're talking about acting then a certain Mr Miller has been coasting for months. I can't remember the last time i saw Aaron instead of 'Danny acting', if you know what I mean. He has moments, don't get me wrong, but on the whole...pretty meh. He's made it very obvious in interviews that it's about the money for him anyway so I'm not sure he's even bothered.
Good for him getting an easy paycheck, but it makes it very difficult to get invested. He used to be superb, but now he's been overtaken by a lot of other actors, and Ryan either noticeably runs rings around him or gets dulled down by proxy.
Danny certainly didn't save the Mill 2 siege scenes, it just looked like it was written into his contract that he gets to be the hero and he's almost bragging about it. I don't see Aaron at all, which makes it hard to see the other characters instead of the actors in a scene.
As a refresher, I've included 'acting performances' in what's fair game to critique to point #3 in my pinned post.
3. No actor bashing. Criticism stays focused on fictional characters, ships, acting performances and writing, not the real people playing them.
Since every ask gets posted, the only caveat is that posts that could be seen as actor bashing might be published without the Emmerdale tag. Your critique of Danny Miller’s acting is completely valid. Everything you’ve written is fine to post except perhaps speculating about personal matters that may or may not be affecting his performance (money, paycheck, personal life, etc.).
It pains me to censor anyone so your ask will be posted, just exceptionally without the Emmerdale tag. On the first day of this blog someone accused me of seeing myself as some kind of community arbiter which I absolutely am not and have no desire to be.
