DANIELLE E: AUDITION #39
what i wore: i wore my black boots, jeans, neon vneck, straight hair, down, light make up. wore my glasses in the q&a and took them off for the audition. she complimented my glasses as well and made a joke when i said they made me look older ("oh yeah, you look 45") and then later in the q&a she put on her glasses and looked at me and goes "do i look older"? lol. i wanted to look good/be super interactive in the q&a because we've interacted on twitter before and the first thing she said before starting was *pointing at me* i recognize you from your twitter pic. like AH! that's so fucking cool. i always knew it was good to connect with CDs on twitter and such and obviously i won't get a JOB through it but like danielle even said- i'm a familiar face in the casting room. i'm not a stranger. she's more likely to go towards me if i give a good audition, etc...
casting director: danielle e (HUGE commercials casting director)
project type: n/a because it was a workshop at ACW (i used my free workshop for this one!!! treated myself hehe)
how prepared i felt: super prepared! i did the roommates.com commercial that i've worked on with chris/auditioned with before and felt super calm and confident. she said i did great and then we had a nice convo after and she gave me feedback on headshots and such (she's such a huge casting director to the point where my agent said he didn't like a certain headshot and i said it was danielle's favorite- it actually was- and his response was "if danielle likes it i like it" LOL. so aaah so happy i can name drop her too! lol) and we had great convos about my type and such. i really do like her!!
key notes: i want to get a different commercial down i think. or maybe stick with this one. idk. i always get nervous that i'm going to get too comfortable with a certain piece and i like to have many options under my belt so i'd rather learn a new one anyways...
what to do differently next time: maybe set up a private sesh with chris and work on a new commercial. we'll see.
