Acts 19:17 NLT
by Al baker | Paul’s ministry in Ephesus was truly remarkable. I love reading about it in Acts 19. It always inspires me with what God can do through men filled with the Spirit who consecrate themselves to Christ, willing to live for him and die for him. Ephesus was notorious...
On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

LUKE/ACTS S.O.A.P. ~ ACTS CHAPTER 19
Thursday, 2/26/26
SCRIPTURE:
God was doing unusual miracles through Paul. ~ Acts of the Apostles 19:11
OBSERVATION:
So Paul, while Saul, had persecuted and assisted in the jailing and even death of believers...
...was "...doing unusual miracles..."
...through God's grace and power...
What about me?
What is God doing through me?
What about just a few plain-old "usual" miracles?
I mean, I've never really actively "campaigned against" the Good News...
But how actively have I campaigned for it?
It's not about performing miracles...
...it's about obedience and surrendering my willfulness...
There's the true miracle...
APPLICATION:
Surrender my willful, selfish, disobedience...
Confess my (recent) past practices... (verse 18)
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father - May I be more open and willing to sharing Your Word of grace, mercy, and forgiveness, confessing everything Your Holy Spirit brings to mind, obedient in every small thing, surrendering my willfulness to Your purposes and the building of Your coming Kingdom - Thank You for Jesus, Who makes it possible to come before You, in humble anticipation of the miraculous things You have planned - In His Name, and for Your great and everlasting honor and praise...
Yours - in Him...
