So I know I’m like stupid late on this, but I wanted to mention something in Revelations that kinda bugs me now that I think about it, so spoilers for F.E. Fates under the cut

After Azura, Jakob, and Corrin go to Valla we’re told that Azura’s mother, Arete, told her everything about Valla before she disappeared for plot convenience/parents must not live in Fire Emblem. But that then begs the question of why did she leave out everything about her and Mikoto being sisters?

Admittedly it’s been about a month since I picked up the game, but I don’t remember there being anything else in the Valla arc that Azura didn’t have at least some form of an understanding of.

So was it just that Arete didn’t have time to mention that she had a sister? Did she not think it mattered? And if so, why didn’t it matter? Telling Azura that there was someone else who at least knew about Valla probably would have helped her, considering she seemed to have made it her mission to free Valla along with Hoshido and Nohr. Was that personal mission not Arete’s intent?

And I guess it’s worth bringing up Mikoto, did she know she’d had her niece kidnapped?

 And if Azura did know all of this why is it never brought up? At least in a support??

I mean, I know this is probably all just some oversight on Nintendo’s part, god knows Fates is full of them, but still, it’s something to think about.
