I feel like OCPD isn’t discussed as much because we live in a capitalist society and it’s seen as a beneficial thing and there’s honestly a lot to unpack here

Person: How can you complain about having OCPD? You’re super neat and productive, that sounds great!!
Me: Oh my god, can you even hear yourself speak right now? Like, have you met me??
Okay, real talk. OCPD does NOT always present as super productivity and effectiveness. I am literally the QUEEN of procrastination. I do a lot of little things throughout the day, but looking back at the end, I probably haven’t done a single thing in my top five in terms of importance or relevance. I have a LOT of trouble advancing towards my goals. My fear of failure is paralyzing, and it messes up my life so bad. I waste so much time while thinking I’m actually productive for once, and if someone points it out, I go straight into panic mode. So please don’t tell me my disorder is “useful” or “not so bad”. Because I would give anything to just do. my. damn. homework.
