Spoon Generator

A system member who generates spoons. Not necessarily while in front, but is most commonly used in that context.

Spoon Stealer/Spoon Drainer

A system member who drains ("steals") spoons or it simply takes a lot of spoons for them to front. Again, not necessarily always used to mean when fronting, but most commonly used.

What Spoon are/Spoon theory is!

We didnt necessarily coin these and have been just collectively being used by our partner sys polycule <3!! But we wanted to make a posted!

I had my child alter share some childhood memories of pretend play that they remember more vividly than I do, and from what they shared with me, I think the system is primarily neurogenic rather than traumagenic (although there are certainly alters that do exist solely due to trauma). We escaped into fantasy to the point of hypnotizing ourselves into thinking we were the fantasy characters we created in order to cope with distressing experiences that come from being neurodivergent that weren’t really from traumatic events that came from without  (and I’m not comfortable with the internally generated experiences, nor experiences that were distressing but cannot be helped because we were unable to deal with even small differences from our expectations, getting called traumatic because I believe that is too pathologizing).
