📌 General Organization and School Supplies:
- 📝 Buy a notebook 📒 or composition book 📓 for a new journal. The Dollar Store has tons of really good journals this time of year! You can also get stickers to decorate the front if you can’t find a journal you like enough on its own (or if you do and just love stickers, like me).
- 🗂️There are also many options at the Dollar Store for organizational items, especially at back-to-school time: binders, folders, lap tables, pencil holders/bags, and book holder things. You can use these to store crafting supplies, and to organize workbooks, picture books, coloring books, and the like. I wouldn’t recommend getting pens at the dollar store, but they have cute pencils and crayons! ✏️🖍️
- 📖 School workbooks for whichever grade level feels akin to your little age. You can also find some worksheets for free online that you could print off and store in a folder.
- 🧱 Counting bears, counting blocks, or a toy abacus for mathematics. If there’s an education store near you for teachers, you can look for these there. I’m sure you can buy this stuff online as well.
- 📏 A ruler for measuring and drawing straight lines.
- ✂️ Scissors, glue, construction paper, blank paper, and crayons/markers/colored pencils for making crafts.
- 🎼 An instrument you want to learn or pick up again. Ones from Elementary school like a recorder, or ones that are just smaller and could be easier to learn like a kazoo, kalimba, calypso drum, or other types of percussion.
- 🌎🌍🌏 Children’s atlas for learning geography.
- 💳 Library card, for checking out all sorts of books.
