❝ after the afterparty. ❞
feat.eunbi
partially covering the boarder of xavier’s school was the thick, verdant forest that wrapped around the vast property like a perverted one-arm hug. the wilderness loomed in all directions and made the cloudy night appear darker, more menacing, and vernon shivered, tugging on the strings of his hoodie. groaning loudly, he yanked them tight. “those cops never had a chance.” he spoke in sloppy, lazy korean and stared at the sky above, thinking of a world without stars in it. the constant rainfall dulled his senses, yet it soothed the buzz going on in his head, and he refocused his awareness on the impenetrable, and invisible, slice of energy-glass that magically hung above their heads.
the droplets stopped knocking against his skull as the water hit the force field, and cascaded down the oblong shape, eventually plummeting to the cold forest floor. custom made mutant-magic always made itself handy, and especially right now he could not imagine a life without his own personal golden ticket. godforbid he have to waste money on something as boring as an umbrella. “hey, hey.” louder than intended he shouted in english, reaching for his wicked friend, but instead he punched eunbi on her arm before poking her for good measure..
“are we even going the right way?” he asked, looking over to eunbi for a sign of enlightenment before switching his iphone’s flashlight on. it illuminated the trail they were caught walking on, as well as how his shoes had sunk into a shallow puddle of bubbling mud. they should be close to the dormitories by now, but he was losing patience, and half-considered pitching a force-field tent in the middle of nowhere. too bad that wouldn’t work for him right now. “i need to pass the fuck out, bro.”
