Genuine question just because I'm confused. How is your tabris white when her mother's black?

in-universe: adaia isn’t honey’s biological mother, but married cyrion when honey was 5 or 6 and mostly raised her, so she’s still honey’s mom ❤️

the meta reason is that i didn’t know about adaia’s canon appearance when i made honey in game (her look was inspired by the official art of tabris in the bloody wedding dress). when i started seeing posts about adaia’s Blackness, i made up honey’s bio mom, may apple tabris, as a background oc so that honey’s appearance wouldn’t whitewash adaia by association. i drew honey with cyrion & both her mothers as a way of acknowledging the adaia issue without adding to the chorus of voices, but it’s old and ugly so don’t look now i’ll redraw it 🙈🙈🙈
