everytime i watch/read a romance (especially a christian romance for some reason) i wind up more invested in the incredibly gay dynamic between the mmc and his best friend rather than the actual main couple. to the point i read/watch romances specifically for this aspect
for example, Seeking Persephone (the show, can't speak about the book). Adamarry shipper for LIFE <3 which is weird bc there's ZERO fics about them on ao3. you can't just say "what good is a dungeon if no one is consigned to suffer in it ;)" like that and still expect me to think you're straight in any way
