hi adam!! :D tysm for the ask <33 i assume because you said casey + hb that you're referring to the questions about two OCs and their relationship, so those are what im gonna answer >:]
18. Do they view their relationship as temporary or permanent?
Ooooo, good question. Depends on when in the timeline we're talking about, of course. At the beginning, they both view their relationship as explicitly temporary; they negotiated a deal upon their first meeting, and when the specific conditions they discussed have been met, they can part ways. Of course, as time goes on and they have more experiences, and save the other's life a few times (it's difficult not to become close after that), and pick each other up when they fall, and begin to really value and appreciate the other's presence... they can't help but adjust their thoughts on the matter.
Casey soon becomes hopeful that they can remain friends after meeting the conditions of their contract, and eventually gathers the courage to suggest such a thing. Herobrine is caught between wanting, so badly wanting, to take xem at face value and agree; and the voice in his head screaming that leaving after their deal is complete is his only chance to get out before xe turns out like all the others. Later still, after even that voice has been shut up, he still can't help but view it as temporary. He knows better than to think Casey's irrational trust in him will last forever.
25. If a stranger saw them together, how would they describe their relationship?
Once again, depends on when in the timeline we're talking about, but in general I think people look at them and think they're good friends. The receptionist at the first hotel they stay at (you haven't met her yet, she's like 4 chapters away) is probably the first person to assume they're dating. Later in the timeline, I think strangers look at them and immediately understand these are people who know each other very well, and are deeply in love.
