There’s something absolutely lovely going on in the span of a week where Hudcon is concerned and I’m enjoying it thoroughly 😁.

So last weekend we were all a buzz with Hudcon’s SNL moment and its significance. The buzz carried on into Connor’s uncontainable joy at the Actors Awards and Hudson’s extremely flirty IG comment on Connor’s IG. Then the GLAAD Awards and our disappointment that Hudson couldn’t make it and Connor's noticeable closed off behavior. I already gave my thoughts on the Awards, but I want to talk about something from the show that leads us into the Balenciaga show yesterday and my thoughts on that.

Ring-Gate: When Hudson was in Milan for Fashion Week people noticed he had an evil eye ring on. At first some people thought the ring was recent until older pictures turned up showing he had the ring for a while. People started saying that Hudson needed to give one to Connor for protection as well. Fast forward to the GLAAD Awards, people noticed in that one video of Conner it appeared Connor was indeed wearing an evil eye ring. People noticed when Hudson was in Paris for Balenciaga he wasn't, so people started speculating Hudson gave Connor his ring. I'm not familiar with how this particular kind of ring works, but I saw that it has to be gifted brand new and not a ring that you own given away, I don't know, but I think all of it is pretty interesting. However, because there are no clear pictures of Connor's hands the rest of the night it's hard to discern if that is in fact the ring Connor has on. Then as more pictures came out from Paris, people noticed that although Hudson didn't have the ring, it appears he had an evil eye bracelet. I will say this, it's interesting that we don't have a clear shot of Connor's hands, because he kept both of them in his pocket practically the entire night. Also, although the image isn't clear, the ring is on the same finger and hand Hudson wore his ring on, and the shape and size is so similar, that I won't rule out it being an evil eye ring until we get better pictures of Connor wearing it. This is something I definitely want to track, since I love men wearing jewelry anyways.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm?: It seems like since Hudson went to Milan Fashion Week, he keeps having more opportunities where he is relaxed enough to let his mannerisms, voice, and behavior do the talking for him where his sexuality is concerned. Of course, we won't know anything for sure until he confirms it, but people have been noticing the same things for months now. Yesterday, the language he used and the interactions he had once again reopened the discourse that Hudson is not straight and is Queer. The one thing that seemed to really draw people's attention was the quick little kiss Hudson gave Aika his groomer at their hotel while they were on the balcony interacting with fans. As people have pointed out Aika is a Lesbian (with a wife 🥰) and that typically even though the kiss was playful, a straight man wouldn't do that, but it makes sense a Queer man, Gay or Bi would have a moment like that with a Queer woman. I am fine not giving Hudson a specific label when he hasn't himself, we're all speculating. However, the fact that this discourse has been happening for the last few months, should be enough to make people go hmmm and consider that Hudson is telling us without telling us what we need to know about his sexuality.

Party Hudson: I never thought Hudson turning up in Milan was a big deal, other than Hudson having a good time with all the new people he had met. His brand manager Leilani was there with him, and it was great exposure because people are still talking about HudMilan months later. But I never thought his behavior said anything about his personal relationships. But there was a chorus at the time of "His gf is the strongest soldier" as if he was actively "cheating" or disrespecting a partner by dancing with people at a party. Then when Hudson went to Paris (to shoot those photos for Balenciaga), people noticed K was there. Then we heard a chorus of her being there to "get Hudson in check" for his behavior in Milan. In Ilya's accent "okay." Flash Forward to Lunar New Year in New York people just knew he was going to turn up again. Some people thought he would be more subdued because his mom was there but turns out Hudson was still there to have a good time and turn up, which he did. Maybe not to the same level as Milan, because the setting was different, but a time was still had. But this time there wasn't too much commentary that his behavior was somehow disrespectful or tied to a partner who wasn't present.

After SNL & Another After Party: My mutuals and I, as well as others on the internet, have noticed a shift in public perception of Hudcon's relationship since SNL. Their behavior and affection towards each other may not appeared to have changed, but Hudson coming to support Connor and the claiming nature Connor showed towards Hudson (holding onto him while presenting the Musical Guest, not necessary but greatly appreciated), got people thinking about the nature of Hudcon's relationship who weren't thinking about it before. The week after people noticed Connor's damn near giddy appearance at the Actors Awards, behavior we hadn't seen from him in a while, at least not when he wasn't with Hudson. People noticed Hudson popping up on Threads to point out that there were more hugs during the night at SNL than we got to see, so there's a possibility that the pictures we saw without the SNL text wasn't AI. Then his innuendo filled flirty comment on Connor's Tiffany Jewelry IG post. These thoughts continued into yesterday when again people thought we were going to see a repeat of Milan Hudson at the After Party for the Balenciaga show. Now because no matter how many people enjoy joking for shits and giggles there are always killjoys who must remind us of logistics (I get it y'all I love facts and data too, but damn live a little 😭) yes, Hudson was only in Paris for a day and had to fly back out to get back to set in Canada. So, the time he spent at the After Party was going to be limited. It turns out it was extremely limited and he stayed allegedly for 30 mins tops. He danced a little, smoked a little, and then rolled out with his team of ladies (I love those women by the way, what a squad. A true dream team 🤩.) and left.

#Strict: Which brings us to the aftermath of Hudson dipping early from the After Party. The timeline on Twitter was full of #Strict comments to the effect of the following, "Connor is Strict", "Connor locked that down" etc. you get the gist. All you need to do is go take a look and there is tweet after tweet like this. In addition to tweets asking, "What really happened in NYC?" All joking aside all of these tweets show a shift in perception as to who Hudson's partner is, and who he is actually going home to. The fact that people are relating Hudson's behavior back to SNL Weekend, ties back into the belief several mutuals and I have that SNL was a statement of Hudcon as a couple. The fact that the perception established last weekend has continued into this weekend and was still on people's minds enough for these comments to trend, shows me at least that the messaging from SNL has done its job.

Now where we go from here is going to be fun to watch. Hudson and Connor and their decision to pull back the curtain more loudly last weekend is still impressive to me. That decision completely changed the usual discourse we would’ve seen about Hudson yesterday. What’s even more impressive is Connor didn’t even have to say anything, he just let his arm around Hudson’s waist and joy last Sunday do the talking. Hudson likes to tease a little more hence the IG comment last week. Either way they know what they’re doing and I’m sat.
