When they were much younger, Adair didn’t seem to properly say his name, which meant he went through many nicknames, going tom Tee, Eon, Thethe and just T. Theon had never been too fond of nicknames before this, and it wasn’t that he allowed Adair to give him many just because it was his prince but because even since they were young, Theon has seen Adair as his little brother, and he just wants the little prince to be happy

‘‘ i say we name him christopher ! ‘‘ the princess exclaimed happily, walking beside adair as they went back inside the castle to get something warm to drink. she was quite proud of the snowman they had just spent all afternoon building. - the times of snowball fights and building snowmen with her siblings were long over, so lyanna was glad she had found someone who still enjoyed doing it to this very day, just like her. ‘‘ do you think he’ll still be there tomorrow? we could build him a snow-woman! ‘’ ( @adcir )
Laughter echoes in flashes down a different corridor than the one before him, hidden somewhere in the depths of his mind, and only now emerging to blur with his current surroundings. It feels familiar, is the thing, and there are memories dancing about the edges of his mind, movement in his peripheral as he follows, a silent, protective presence that is as rough as it is unyielding and graceful. Dawson has shadowed Adair so many times before when he slipped away from his guard, made sure that he didn’t get himself hurt or into trouble, but for some reason this time in particular reminds him startlingly of some of the first. He’s been escaping from obligations he hadn’t wanted to attend to since he was old enough to be able to walk, and there’s some level of fond recollection to the cast of the light in his mind’s eye, some level of it was not here, but I remember it still. He’s not sure what to do with it aside from experience it, so he just lets it be. As always, he just lets it be.
There is no sound when his feet touch the floor, and he knows as he watches the young prince drift out into the open courtyard that he is utterly oblivious to his presence. For just a second, he entertains the thought of turning on his heel and simply walking away, of not letting himself indulge, as it were, in yet another of these encounters that should remain as meaningless as they tend to be brief. So many of them have happened now, is the thing. They’re starting to build it up, to make something out of it without rough hands not touching soft ones, but close. A friendship? Perhaps. Or Dawson is just being hopeful, allowing himself a bit of naivety to go along with everything else, like he’s not just a glorified contract killer with loyalties to the crown, and Adair is not a prince. Things are more complex than that.
Vigilance is necessary when he’s the only one with eyes on the remaining heir to the throne of Kradaeca, and he makes sure to sweep their surroundings, taking into account the places someone could hide if they so chose to. Given that he’s of the same mind-set, he bears a general confidence that he would know, and he finds himself satisfied with his assessment as he finally allows himself a deep breath of the warm early evening air. The sun’s only just nearly going down, great streaks of peaches and soft purple tones making the sky into a painting, and when he looks up briefly, he can see the first of the stars beginning to twinkle to life. He holds his gaze there for only a tick or two before finding Adair once again with it, his protectiveness bleeding into a slight paranoia when he’s standing there exposed in a place like this. When they still don’t know what happened to the King and Queen, and he could be just as at risk as they are. He’s said it to him, before. No doubt he’ll say it to him again.
It’s part of the reason Dawson cares so much, his softhearted inability to see what’s right in front of him. It’s also part of what keeps him awake at night, fearful even now that something is going to happen, or that it has happened. He’s lost everyone, after all. Everyone. It would only make sense. Not that it has anything to do with him personally, of course. He just --- cares about the royal family, is all. Every good citizen of Kradaeca would. Especially one that was shown so much kindness by them when he was so very young. They could’ve easily left him in the streets, or taken him to one of those awful orphanages, or lead him to any number of other unsavory fates that would’ve treated him so much worse than this one.
A soft breeze stirs through as he finally steps out, making himself known with a deliberate scuff of one boot against the ground. It’s funny because Adair will know it’s intentional too. No one hears Dawson unless he wants them to hear him, after all. “I thought we talked about this, Your Highness. The Guard is there to protect you, and you’re making their job very, very difficult.” There’s no chastisement in his voice. Not only would it not be his place, but his heart isn’t actually in it, so there’s no point in pretending it is. He’s always going to do what it is that he wants to do, and honestly? Dawson doesn’t blame him for it. He sort of reveres him, actually. “ --- Not that they’re actually doing their job correctly if you keep managing to get away from them, of course.” There may or may not be a slight smile in his voice for that one, playing at the corners of his mouth. // @adcir.
⭐️ (CLANCY)
Magnus actually likes Clancy, though he feels like the noble could be a bit more serious in regards of training and fighting. However if he puts that aside he thinks he is really fun to be around.

10/10 Cutest prince- after me of course. Sometimes I wish I didn’t see Adair as a brother, he’s incredibly handsome if I’m being honest.
